Any of the Mercury guys remember Vince Philipe?

Back in the early 1980's he was kind enough to explain the nuances of FSB to me. He used an absolutely incredible 1918-D with McDonalds arches to illustrate his points. Never saw a comparable coin since. Wonder what became of it....

Yes , I remember him in the late 70’s and 1980’s. He loved  his Merc dimes but Ed Hipps was always top dog in that department.
