Roughly two years ago I started a Lincoln Wheat DATE set. To keep it affordable, I chose to do it as a DATE set, which requires just one coin per date. However, to make it challenging, each coin MUST be RED, and each coin MUST have a CAC. As I hunt, I pass over about 80% or more of the coins I see that meet this criteria, as they don’t satisfy my eye appeal.
There are a few low priced coins included that I bought as fillers, since I liked the eye appeal. I plan on upgrading those four or five coins as I find others in higher grades with eye appeal at least as nice as the coins being replaced. I still need four other coins, and once those have been found, I believe this set will rank #7.
Nice stuff so far! I am primarily a pre-1934 Lincoln collector and almost all my collection is CAC. The gold bean is rare in this space as there are only 32 in existence. I am fortunate to have one shown here. The strike is hammered for a teens S-mint Lincoln and the color and luster are wonderful. As an aside, I think it's also a unicorn in that you rarely see a gold bean on a PCGS coin that's in a newer slab (graded in the past few years); almost all are on the older holders. 63RB Thanks.
Fantastic coins everyone! Thanks for sharing them here, one more to keep it going. First my unimpressive slab shot and some pro photos taken by Mark Goodman.

1914-D MS64+ "BN" CAC Blueberry. Don't have a good slab shot that doesn't look like mud.
