I remember reading that the submission forms will be a lot simpler than other services which is great. Thinking of varieties, if the variety is obvious but currently unattributed would it just get assigned automatically? Just pondering as some peopl…
@CAC_Ops , Jumping in, for coins that successfully cross, PCGS charges a fee of 1% of the TOTAL value of the coin in its new grade, over and above the grading fee!
Thanks! That's what I thought was meant but wanted to make sure. The short answer i…
Dear Ops, Will CACG be adding a fee premium to crossovers?
Could you be more specific as to what you mean by "fee premium?" I want to make sure I understand exactly what you're asking.
Supply problems could be major issues, NGC's lack of scratch resistant holders have been going on for a long time. I hope you don't run into a snag like that.
So far so good regarding our coin holder and its related components. By having it desig…
Ok, thank you for the info. I hope all goes well for you. I bet that there is a ton of prep work behind the scenes.

@CAC_Ops What will all of the numbers/ markings on the new CACG slabs mean? Also what different types will you use? I seen a 12 as the end #, on the sample slab in the other thread, does that stand for coin #12 in that submission?
Also @CAC_Ops …
I may have missed the answer to this, but consider: CAC has been doing this for 15 years. We've all seen RD copper morph into RB over time. Suppose a stickered 65RD is submitted, but due to improper care or whatever it is now RB at best. Does the cr…

I am anxious to see their submission forms.
Completing a submission form for a third-party grader should NEVER be as tedious as filing your own taxes! Our plan is to keep our form simple and easy to use.

Why don't I start you off with a hard one. What are you looking forward to most regarding the opening??

I mentioned this in an email and on Instagram, but it bears repeating: @CAC_Team & @CAC_Ops -- well done. It's deeply appreciated that you took community feedback to heart, and the holder looks great. Thanks for having us all involved (and I …
Just to clarify, the core is a clear material (not white). The prongs are polished clear, while the ring has a frosted appearance. Again, nothing about the core is white.
“Cattywampus” has held a variety of meanings and spellings, including as an adverb (catawampusly). The first part, “catty,” may hark back to a now-obsolete meaning of the word “cater,” which means “to set or move diagonally” (in the sense of catty-c…
Wouldn’t the inks used on the labels give off gases as well?
@FranklinHalfAddict, rest assured! All materials utilized in our encapsulation process are inert and archival.

What if I want to cross this and keep its pedigree?
Just out of curiosity, why would you want to pay a fee (that’s a large percentage of the coin’s value) to cross a low value coin that’s already been stickered?
Well, I …
I wonder about some coins that have been cleaned a long time ago and are straight graded by a TPG... should CACG straight grade them and also note that they were cleaned a long time ago on the label? Or should they just be a detailed coin, cleaned. …
Wondering about your grading sets, @CAC_Ops are you going to have an A set, B set and C set to grade with and display for comparison?
Also, will CACG charge a yearly membership fee? Doesn't really matter, just curious about the membership fee. …

We need a poll, but don't think we have that option here yet? I personally don't mind either way, but some will. This is all about finding a seamless solution that pleases everyone, if that is even possible. Maybe we are back to having the CAC stick…

Do you see bulk grading being a significant part of CAC 2.0's operations?
Simply put, yes - bulk grading will be a part of CAC Grading's operations. Will it be significant? Time will tell.
MORE SUGGESTIONS:
1. Magnetic rims that allow easy, secure stacking.
2. Glow-in-the-dark lettering so that lost slabs can easily be located in darkness or dim light.
3. Embedded tracking device such as Apple AirTag.
4. Bullet-resistant plastic (fo…
