I guess I can see the logic of incorporating a scoring difference to encourage more coin owners to cross their slabs. I may not like it, but I understand it.
Top design by a country mile. When the first slab design was revealed, my biggest gripe was that it made the CAC sticker/logo look cheesy. The proportions and color were changed, and I had always hoped the next version would more closely resemble th…
I called my daughter up north once I heard about it. She said she’s fine, but she was having “relations” with her boyfriend (who I dislike) at the time. She then said to him, “I felt the earth move. Finally! Good job!”

And I'm hearing a Ca…
Must say that to see another group enter this verification space is discouraging to me. While I heartily endorse capitalism, I do think the proliferation of these services will confuse the average collector and create dissatisfaction with those coi…
Hate to disagree HT, especially with your "should not" comment. JA has already shared pass/fail percentages on all submissions, so I don't understand your position why this information is particularly sacred. Secondly, I'd like to test my supposit…
I appreciate all the comments, however, I don't think my question has been answered. Not surprisingly, since I await someone from @CAC_Team to answer if they will!
There's a top coin on my want list too among the Hansen dups and it's at 4x what I bid when I was the underbidder on it. I regret not bidding higher and would now consider paying close to half the price it's at, but no way near the full price. This …
It is unfortunate that there is so much misunderstanding about what CAC stickering and grading are trying to accomplish. It is discouraging to witness the (willful?) ignorance on many coin forums. I think your summary is helpful if one is open to …
I'm glad to see this decision. It is a small, but significant stance that such coin manipulation (not always as robec has demonstrated with formerly PCI coins) is not welcome.

Is this from the CACG holder photo? I can see both the prongs and the white streak across the shield. The photo that you posted in the other thread doesn't show the scratch or the prongs (a CACG raw coin photo perhaps?). If …
If one owns predominantly PCGS w/sticker slabs and these are equal to CACG grading (with a chance at a plus that is unimportant to me), what's the point of crossing?
Mark Feld's often expressed mantra of patience frequently whispers in my ear as a better angel. I can't say I've always followed it all these years since he was a dealer (and Heritage advisor), but it is excellent advice when resisting the urge to …
I applaud the educational intent of this thread and, like the rest of us, crave more.
However, to reach the broadest audience, why not have an educational tab on the CAC website where it might be seen by more people than the handful here?
I like the service, I like the holder, I like the pictures. Part of it is inertia...there is no good reason to cross just to cross, for all of the reasons Coinstein mentioned.
Also, many of my coins are not serviced by CACG yet.
But the #1 main r…
I remember you well and the splash you made on other forums and on YouTube. You’ve seemingly have been under water since so share a bit about what you’ve been doing since?
must say my first reaction in seeing a new member with the BNB name is troll…
I honestly think CACG would have done themselves a service to slab ONLY the coins they would sticker. In other words, no moderns such as Kennedy halves and Silver Eagles.
I would also not slab any problem coins- return to sender- no slab.
If CACG k…
I heard that the L label wasn't just implemented due to collector request, but that it was a gradeflation control factor? I'd like to hear more about that rationale, if true @JACAC
Great show report! It was wonderful to meet you in person and to spend some time together. You have a tremendous future ahead, whether in the coin industry or otherwise. I remember when I was 17 and unfocused - so unlike you!
If I were JA, I'd close the stickering business. I think keeping it open eliminates any pressure to convert other TPG plastic into CACG. Closing it ensures that if you want the strict standard, you gotta slab via CACG. It also allows clarified ma…
Another thing that I don't automatically buy into is the concept of Grading Sets.
I do like the concept of Grading Sets and agree that they are/will be important to the graders and the customers.
BUT, assuming that (and this assumption may be inco…
Great eye appeal on these fine coins HT. Must say though, if your shots are more accurate to the in hand view, I’d be disappointed in the CACG images. To my eye, there is a significant disparity.
John - I get your points and if you don't have the data, then that is an obstacle, but when CAC market pricing is less than PCGS pricing, something is inherently wrong from my perspective.
It is really not appropriate IMO to compare Greysheet/CPG …
