Never got the promised sample.
Probably stuck at the Kearny post office?
They ship from Virginia Beach... at least mine did. Thanks CACG!

Dear CAC Grading member,
This is a different grading event with a different team of finalizers, as stated earlier. So, a Legacy coin can NEVER have a…

This is a very nice gesture. It strikes me as odd that some expect you to regulate how CACG is marketed in the aftermarket.…

I was of course aware that there would be negativity in regards to moderns. I believe this will subside when the products finally hit the market . In terms of negativity- this is nothing compared to the reaction in 2007 when we st…

I know one dealer who dulled down 1945 proofs and sold them as the rare business strike with FB. Yet another reason that the grading services are needed.
I think the same dealer tried to sell me a 1914 Liberty Head nickel. …

My wife loves coin stories. She's not a collector but she's heard me talk a lot. Sometimes when I'm driving on a long trip she'll ask me things. "How did the 1955 DDO happen? Was no one paying attention?" "How could a 1913 Lib…
I think there is a good chance of a CAC rejection as the coin looks lightly cleaned even if it has been deemed market acceptable.
Edited: Apparently CAC thought it was market acceptable as well.
Isn’t poor JA swamped enough? CAC has had to suspend the normal tier twice now because of a backup and your plan would only make this worse. As Mark points out, it would be a logistical nightmare and increase the risk of loss (read as liability and …
I might consider consigning the two gold bean coins to GC. I’d see what CAC will offer on the others that stickered as you will take a bath after the auction house(s) take their commissions. I’d try flipping the others on the PCGS forum.

Would NGC changing to a Dansco-like background change the game?
Going to a thinner holder to allow more light on smaller diameter coins and toned coins would be a break through. Getting rid of the ugly white prongs would…
Top pop or not for the service? What is the price point of the next grade up? What is the price spread for generic grade to plus grade without CAC? CAC population?
A generic 67 CAC Morgan is probably a $1,000 - $1,200 coin. A 67+ is probably a $2,2…

If you send NGC coins to crossover to PCGS, maybe better to stipulate only same grade or better. Then, if it doesn’t cross, you get the coin back as it was sent in. No grade loss.
But I’m st…

Coin values historically have not grown at a rate exceeding or keeping up with inflation with rare exceptions. Higher inflation will make it harder to beat inflation and make coins less profitable in a real sense (rather than just nominally on paper…

What’s the point of your post?
+1. I thought only “LS’s” and “IR’s” opinions were the only ones that matter to the OP. Why not PM them directly?
JA had a hand in founding both NGC and PCGS. How many grading services is he expected to start for crying out loud? I may be wrong, but I sense CAC is JA’s semi-retirement phase lol.
