My first time using it- I like it so far
3 Morgans wouldn’t go in and weren’t recognized as having CAC stickers
1878-S SP65 no category exists
J-1550b no category exists
1889 proof it’s a 68 but the entry form keeps changing it to 67+
There are several way to approach extremely rare coins that exceed most collectors budgets- take proof Trade $
NGC makes the 1884 and 1885 non-competitive for display only
And PCGS takes it a step further and offers sets that do and do not include …

Do you also have a 21-s Zerbe to pair with that gorgeous Philly by chance?
Not yet- but I do have several 1878 patterns and an entire run of Philly proofs including the 78/Rev 79 which is the rarest one (12 minted ma…

Very nice! Are you going to try to find a Chapman proof to keep your Zerbe company?
Haha actually I do have one and didn’t include it because it’s NGC and doesn’t have a TrueView or sticker- one day may try to cross and/or …

I'm jealous! Congrats on the 93CC Dr BB :-). That coin garnered a lot of interest. Someone is very disappointed. Love the others too. Especially the 84CC
Thank you Laura it’s a nice fit with the others!

Just Beautiful coins! Is there a noticeable difference between SP and PR?
The Zerbe is the least “proof-looking” of the bunch. The 93CC looks very proof. The 78-S and 84CC fall somewhere in between- not as nice as Philadel…
Thanks for your reply Mike! My day job is indeed plastic surgeon. I was still in school in the 90s so not a player in the market at the time. It does seem like the top end coins have skyrocketed in price during the last three decades, and I’m not su…
Mike- Thank you so much for participating and giving us something new to discuss rather than Details grading! Do you and Jay still deal in ultra rarities, and if so where can I view your inventory?

Very cool Beaver! I echo DD- wow!
Since it is so cool and so rare and finest known, does it really matter if it earns a sticker?
Good point for sure. I'm a sucker for that green bean.
I agree- there’s nothing quit…

I live in a safe neighborhood but I still would be devastated if I loss much!
That depends- if having …

Long Beach show in recent years is a PCGS sponsored show so do not expect CAC to even be invited.
I’ve never been to that show- just out of curiosity is NGC invited?

Is there a probability that upgrades are available? I realize there is always a possibility, but Hope is not what I am asking.
Good question and obviously any possible upgrade will be in strong hands and if they know you’re lo…
I would research the provenance of each coin- that would be a cool project and would take a while to complete- and you would learn a lot about numismatic history. I love to know where my coins have been, who has owned them, and it has led me to purc…
I agree- many of the coins I collect have outdated price guide values, no price guide values, and/or no auction records. I often have to compare similar items in a similar grade across multiple auction sites.
It was a pleasure meeting you Alex- and congratulations on the win!
Great photos of my coins as well:
1907 HR SP67+ CAC
1910 $20 PR67 CAC
1921 PR65 Peace $
1887 Morgan PR68 UltraCameo
1884CC Morgan PR67 Cameo CAC and finally the 1878/Rev ‘79 PR64+ …

I was anti-L from the beginning. It’s confusing and unnecessary.
If CACG is the greatest TPG in the universe, who cares if some other TPG was able to grade the coin properly in the past (and thus confirmed with a CAC sticker in the past).

PCGS decided not to issue their calendar for 2024, and GC wisely stepped in and produced a very nice edition.
With good photography and as more coins get graded CACG could also put forth a nice calendar.
In the meantime, 2024 will be the yea…
