Or pull the band-aid off now and crack it, then send to CACG? You would get your answer much sooner.
And lose the soapbox for a potential details holder? No thanks.
I’ve seen it in more places than that email, and that sentence can be interpreted how you’re saying but that’s not the intended meaning. You can call and ask for yourself, but you can trust me on this.
I’ll never understand the FBL designation. It’s a designation relating to the strength of a coin’s strike. A coin can be strongly struck and have contact marks that disrupt any part of the design. That doesn’t mean it isn’t fully struck. Not saying …
Spoke to CAC today as they just received my submission. She said that you can use a credit card on a stickering submission. And the $16 economy tier has a coin value limit of $3000.00, not the old $10,000.00 limit.
Some misleading info here based…
Hi Rob. One of the big problems at the PO is that the Clerks are allowed to basically "make-up" their own rules. What the clerk told you about requiring a name is incorrect.
The clerk told me the same thing on my last sub. Said something about ha…
If you think this way, you don’t need to send coins to CACG. The sticker means a coin can either be an A or B. The slab will be more definitive since no + equals B and a + equals A. It’s really a simple concept.

If you are buying $7000 coin without a sticker with the intention of getting it stickered it seems you would know that series well enough to have a high success rate on submissions. The $22 for coins up to $3k gives most collectors of average means …
Additionally, I'm under the impression (right or wrong) that a gold sticker does NOT mean a specified grade exactly one whole grade higher, but a gold sticker represents that in the opinion of CAC (NOT CACG) that the grade should be AT LEAST one gra…
And remove their persistent red emphasis in their camera settings.
I have a great example of that… TV vs EEPS.
The coins looks like the EEPS photo in hand.
MS67 Details - Graffiti. The market won’t value it as n MS67, but I guarantee it would rightfully be valued higher than if it was graded UNC Details. There would still be interpretation as to what that value is, but it would still be helpful for bot…
Separate issue, but it’s a big one (CONSISTENCY - Enter CACG). When the TPGs choose to Details grade a coin for a minor issue, a numerical grade should be given like ANACS does now.
Understood. As I implied above, my guess is that over time, with roughly 25% - 30% of CAGC coins having plus grades, the pricing differential for buying a CACG with a plus won't as large as you sometimes see with PCGS coins with a plus.
I hope y…

I don’t understand why people would not highly value a Non Legacy 64 CACG plus. It wasn’t valued as a 65 because it was a lower end 65 not a solid B 65. Now it’s a high end 64+ A coin that should be viewed on its merits as properly gra…
I've only been studying numismatics and grading for 6 months or so but I always thought they should apply a number grade if it goes into a slab at all. For instance an ms63 grade coin with graffiti should say ms63 details - graffiti. When I pay for …
