Hey all! Isaiah here, @vamsplus on Instagram as well. I collect CAC stickered old holders, sample slabs, and other oddities I get my hands on. Counterfeit slab research is also a passion.

I trolled for a banning at @PCGS with a post on the "Coin I Want in 2022" thread there this past week. TWICE.

I would have to wonder that it's been there for a long time. Coins like that usually make the news when they get stickered. Has it ended up at auction recently? That would give you some idea of when it was beaned.
@CACfan @Winesteven I'm currently sitting in my college religion class reading this thread trying to decide if I'm getting a worse headache from the conversation or lecture haha. Maybe I should start paying more attention in class.
All I want to know is you can be forgiven for confusing Mark Felt with Mark Feld.

Alright, it's time for me to chime in.
As a 21 year old, just past the "YN" label, I'm going to make my statement on IG. I was one of the "original" IG coin collectors; I've been on IG posting coins since mid-2016. I remember when it was a VERY s…

Got a new one coming to market with CAC approval! This may actually increase the value of your Generation 1.0 holder.

How did it bean with that big ol' scratch under the sticker? Hahaha
Actually, it was Shakespeare who said "exit.... stage left....". That was Hamlet. "Heavens to Murgatroyd" is directly from MacBeth.

Very nice. Would love that coin in my collection. Good eye.
Thank you @ratpelt ! When I saw the coin I had to have it and knew it had a very good shot with JA.
I’m not at all surprised @JACAC approves of this coin. It’s gorgeous in hand. Makes me want to start collecting VF Seated halves…. But along with weird slabs it might get expensive 🙂
@johnFeigenbaum silver classic commems in both non-CAC and CAC need review -- the market is consistently above Greysheet at a wholesale level across the board. I've been wholesaling certified commems to market makers at 20% give or take a bit over …
Thank you @JACAC for the insight. I can confirm, having a 69 coin sub go through in a week and a half, that turnaround is about 1.5 weeks in house. That sub was 32 out of 69 beans -- good success in my opinion.
My show was phenomenal. Bought and sold way too much, if there is ever is such a thing as too much. Highlights for me was a 1940 Proof Walker in PCGS 64 CAC rattler and a 1946 Iowa in NGC 3.0 64 CAC - the coin looks 66/67 to me so off to JA it goe…
Hello,
I’m Paul. I have been lurking here for several months and post a lot on PCGS. I have been soaking up info on here like a sponge.
I collect mostly bust halves but love seated dollars, flying eagle cents and most other 18th and 19th century t…
The lighter areas around the eagle cause me to think the coin has been cleaned. And if so, it might be too noticeable for the coin to sticker.
You do make a good point. I don't believe the lighter areas are cleaning, but as it's a mid-VF there's …
Does CAC guarantee the PL or DMPL etc on old ngc no line fatties when they sticker a coin with such a designation on the holder or only the grade on the holder?
Thanks
Designations such as PL, DMPL, FH, FB, etc. are taken into account (along with …
You need to find a vest dealer that grades/cac's stuff but hates dealing with retail. That's the easy way to get more CAC material, if you aren't making it yourself.
That's basically what I do at this point. Buy coins, send to CAC, and then turn…
If the coin is in a GC, Heritage or Stacks auction I assume the coin has been to JA at least once. Same with coins at some of the big dealers out there. It is known that a CAC bean gets you more money. Few dealers want to leave $$ behind.

JF... I would say it depends coin to coin but as a general rule I tend to say yes... many times, a 58+ CAC will look a lot nicer than a 63. JF,

Seatednut-your not missing anything. I turned down the ANA Auction bidding because I did not see any value.

Got my submission back today (received 2/25)! Interesting results, to say the least. Can't wait for the next sub when y'all open back up! For now I'll restrict myself to sitting on the chat boards and saving coins for the sub.
Newest collection of dots for me. I sent 29 coins, 7 came back with red PVC dots. That was all of my old holder PCGS commemoratives plus two others. Really makes me wonder if rattlers and OGH slabs contain PVC, as these have been slabbed for 25+ …
